There's nothing fishy about this wind-up Barracuda torch, which incorporates a solar panel for charging. The three LEDs combine to give one of the best beams on test, with a bright centre and smooth transition towards the edge.
The crank is stiff, yet it’s worth the effort, as a minute’s winding gives an hour’s usable light. It’s pricey, but a fine performer and easy to store.
