Fold the back seats, and there's 1,504 litres of space. But while that's not quite the biggest capacity in the class - the Peugeot 308 SW and Skoda Octavia Estate are larger - the wide-opening tailgate and low load lip mean the Megane is still attractive.
Add in flat-folding seats, boot pockets, bag hooks and a floor that doubles as a boot divider, and the Megane is a sound choice in the class.
