Downsizing is the order of the day! While I’m known for my taste in plush motors, there’s no hiding from the credit crunch – and sooner or later, most of us will switch to a smaller, more efficient car.

That got me thinking, though. Why not downsize to a better car? There’s no need to run out and buy the cheapest hatch on the market for the sake of saving a few bob. Shop around, and you could save yourself a bundle – as well as benefiting from more equipment, stronger resale values and much greater badge appeal.
