Welcome to Auto Express’s 2013 road test yearbook. We’ve been busier than ever in the past 12 months, covering 250,000 miles in more than 500 new cars – and now we've picked the top test winners.

As ever, all the cars we drive have been subjected to our demanding assessments on road and track by our expert team of testers, who have more than 50 years of road testing experience between them.
