Kamasa 6-in-1 screwdriver

We test the new multi-tool from Kamasa

Kamasa 6-in-1 screwdriver

Can a multi-tool be all you need to carry in your car? We tried the Kamasa 6-in-1 Screwdriver to find out.

For loosening nuts under the body, a metal bar running through the middle of the tool has a quarter-inch socket at one end and a 5/16-inch one at the other. To switch ends, simply pull the bar out and swap it around.

Two double-ended chrome vanadium bits account for the Kamasa’s other four tools: large and small flathead drivers and large and small crossheads. These slot into the end of the socket with a satisfying clunk, and give the tool a reassuringly solid feel. Any bits you’re not using can be stored in the lockable compartment in the handle.

The handle is rubberised, so you can apply plenty of pressure without hurting your hand. And although we think Kamasa could have included more tools – there’s room in the handle – we can forgive this as the 6-in-1 costs only £4.10.

Verdict

Jordan Katsianis thinks the criticism of Jaguar’s bold new approach is misplaced. If anything, it isn’t bold enough.
