Victorinox SwissTool CS

Heavyweight choice

You expect a lot from a multitool costing more than £100, and the hefty CS doesn’t disappoint.

It feels very well put together, with tools opening easily and smoothly. Critically, they also lock in place, which eliminates the risk of them closing on your fingers accidentally.

This is bigger and packs more tools in than the Balance, plus it comes with a selection of bits, a wrench and a corkscrew. It’s not quite as comfortable to use as the Balance, with offset screwdriving and relatively sharp edges to the handles. What's more the blades are sharp, including those on the scissors.

Overall, the high price tag is easily justified by the SwissTool’s considerably superior capability.
