New high-roof Ford Transit Custom
A new high-roof version of the Ford Transit Custom is now on sale and comes in two wheelbases and a range of powertrain options
A new high-roof version of the multi-award-winning Ford Transit Custom van is now on sale and comes with 20 per cent more space than the equivalent low-roof model.
For an additional cost of £500 it is available to be ordered in the UK now, ready for delivery later on this year. It offers a 370mm greater load height than the low-roof version, while the steel roof construction allows a roof rack load of up to 100kg.
The high-roof Custom comes with a side door opening which accommodates three loaded Euro pallets in both short and long wheelbase versions. Meanwhile, the load-through hatch in the bulkhead allows for items such as pipes or ladders to be safely carried inside the vehicle.
It comes with great fuel economy too, with CO2 emissions from 178g/km, which is delivered by an improved 2.2-litre Duratorq TDCi diesel. The cost of ownership is also minimised by long service intervals at two years/30,000 miles.

David Gregory, Transit Custom chief programme engineer, Ford of Europe, said: "This addition to the Transit Custom line-up brings all the style, economy and durability of the low-roof vehicle, and adds valuable extra cargo volume."
