<span>Jeep has made big boasts about the Cherokee moving away from agricultural handling to more road-biased manners, but <span>the chassis is rather inert and disappointing.</span> <span></span></span>
Jeep has overhauled the trademark seven-bar grille, so rather than being upright, the bars now fold over the leading edge of the bonnet.
<span>Inside, the Cherokee makes a good first impression thanks to the crystal clear TFT screens. However, these are offset by the <span>infotainment and climate controls being mixed up on the centre console.</span></span>
<span> Up front, storage is reasonable in the Cherokee with an armrest cubby, deep door bins and a handy iPod slot on the centre console.</span>
Seat space in the back of the Cherokee is tight. The amount of headroom available is fine, but legroom could be better. At least you get air vents and a 12V socket though.

<span>The front-wheel drive Cherokee is the one to choose for minimal running costs, but claimed fuel consumption for the 2.0-litre diesel Cherokee ranges between 48.7mpg and 53.3mpg.</span>
